Context

A dedicated webshop for premium pet products (elevated feeding bowls, dog beds, travel accessories, and seasonal cooling mats and pools for dogs and cats), built alongside the brand's existing presence on bol.com, to open a direct sales channel with more control over customer experience, pricing, discounts and promotions than a marketplace allows.

Approach

Built as a full webshop with a real cart and checkout, category and product pages, and Dutch product content and blog writing throughout, able to offer exclusive deals and campaigns directly to customers in a way the bol.com listing can't.

Outcome

The project became as much about the business model as the design: the site isn't just a place to sell products, but a way to build a more direct relationship with customers and create room for repeat purchases and retention. With more time, the next step is developing the conversion strategy further: targeted promotions, email marketing, personalised offers.
