Context
Part of a CMD graduation project researching how artificial intelligence might reshape the future of music and the role of the musician. This is the first audiovisual prototype from that research: a short scene of a musician practicing late at night, where the music keeps playing even after he stops.
Approach
Built with generative AI (Suno for the music, Nano Banana and Kling 2.5 for the visuals, Sora 2 for additional generation), combined with manual editing and sound design. Tested with users afterwards.
Outcome
User testing showed the strongest elements were the idea of AI taking over the music, and the atmosphere of the scene. The story and its emotional weight need strengthening, and the guitar performance needs tighter synchronisation with the generated music.
